U.S. Ports Emergency Surcharge – Update No. 01
According to the Port of Los Angeles and Long Beach, there has been significant improvements in clearing import containers at the terminals in recent weeks. Please be informed that the decision of the Port Authority is to delay the introduction of the Emergency Surcharge until November 22, 2021.
As previously communicated on our 11th November MWL Customer Advisory, the implementation of Emergency Surcharge would go into effect should the ports not see significant improvement in the clearance of the long dwelling of containers at the terminals.
We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed for any developments.
