Panama Canal Update 01
The Panama Canal Authority issued an advisory that the pass through restrictions will be extended through September 2, 2023. The number of vessels transiting will be capped at 32 ships per day down from an average of 36 during normal conditions. Authorities said they will continue to assess the situation with respect to the current and expected reservoir levels to ensure the necessary adjustments in terms of maximum draught, capacity and reservation slots available are proactively communicated.
